Linen Thread

Londonderry Linen Thread is our favorite thread to hand-sew with and is produced with 100% wet-spun linen. This thread has a natural, matte look and feel and is great for a variety of projects.

50/3 (30 meter spool) linen thread is great for the following uses: 

• Embroidery (provides a matte look and finish)
• Hand-sewn buttonholes
• Counted thread projects such as cross-stitch 
• Hand-Quilting

80/3 (50 meter spool) linen thread is great for the following uses: 

• General hand-sewing 
• Hand quilting
• Embroidery (provides a matte look and finish)
• Cross-stitch projects

100/3 (50 meter spool) linen thread is great for the following uses: 

• General hand-sewing 
• Embroidery (provides a matte look and finish)

Note: if using this thread for embroidery do not separate threads. We recommend using beeswax to coat your linen thread if hand-sewing garments with this thread for long stretches of stitching.
